1, B- blocker Contraindications mnemonics
Main contraindications and cautions:
A = Asthma ( Bronchial Asthma),
ACS
B = Block i.e. Partial or Complete Heart block ( Especially propanolol )
Bradycardia
C = COPD
Congestive heart failure ( CHF ), LVF
D = Diabetes Mellitus
E = Electrolyte Disturbances i.e Hyperkalemia(K+ excess)
F = Fluid retention ( Massive fluid retention, who need vasodilators or inotropic drugs )
G
H = Hyperlipidemia ( Specially nonselective B-blocker, e.g. propanolol= Raise TG, LDL and reduce HDL )

Adrenergic β2 Stimulation ----> Stimulates β cell adenylyl cyclase----> Increases Insulin secretion---> Hypoglycemia.[Hence CI in DM patients under medication due to risk of hypoglycemia]
